Versus

State of Maharashtra & Anr.

] ... Respondents Mr. Ashok M. Saraogi for Petitioner.

Smt. A. S. Pai, APP for State - Respondent No.1. CORAM :- B. P. DHARMADHIKARI & SARANG V. KOTWAL, JJ.

DATE :- DECEMBER 03, 2018 P. C. :- 1.

Heard the learned Counsel for the Petitioner and the learned APP.

2.

Learned Counsel for the Petitioner submits that the Petitioner is entitled to know the stage of his complaint to police. According to the learned Counsel, the reason which prompts police not to take cognizance can also be informed to the Petitioner. URS 1 of 2

2 WP 3957-18.odt-54 3.

Learned APP points out that in the present matter, no complaint is lodged with the police station and the grievance is directly made that with the Joint Commissioner of Police, Economic Offences Wing.

4.

We keep objections raised by the learned APP open. The Joint Commissioner of Police, Economic Offences Wing, is a superior authority and could have very well informed the Petitioner about the error committed by him.

5.

We, therefore, direct the Respondent to communicate the action taken on report dated 15/05/2018 to the Petitioner within next three weeks.

6.

With this, we dispose of the present petition. (SARANG V. KOTWAL, J.) (B. P. DHARMADHIKARI, J.) URS 2 of 2
