By this Writ Petition, the petitioner has sought a direction against the respondents to allow the petitioner No.2 to submit her nomination form for the election to the village panchayat, Patetthan, scheduled on 14.10.2017.

We are not inclined to interfere with the election process that has commenced before a couple of weeks. The last date for filing the nomination forms was 29.09.2017. The grievance of the petitioner that the name of the petitioner is wrongly deleted from the voters list and therefore the petitioner is not permitted from contesting the election cannot be considered at this state. It would necessary to refer to the judgments of the Hon'ble Supreme Court and this Court, reported in 1978 (1) SCC 405, 1988 (1) SCC 277, (2004) 7 SCC 492 and (2010) 1 Mh.L.J. 909 in this regard.
