Heard Mr. Yerunkar, learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner and Mr. Chate, learned Additional G.P. appearing for the Respondent-State.

The impugned orders are passed by the Joint Registrar of Chits, Mumbai, Thane and Raigad.

At the outset, learned Additional G.P. states that there is an alternate remedy of appeal, provided under Section 70 of Chit Funds Act, 1982.

In view of the said objection raised by the learned Additional G.P., Mr. Yerunkar, learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner states that the Petitioner will file an appeal provided under Section 70 of Chit Funds Act, 1982 before the State Government. He states that the said Appeal will be filed on or before 12th December 2023.

To give opportunity to the Petitioner to file statutory appeal under Section 70 of Chit Funds Act, 1982, no coercive steps be taken pursuant to the impugned orders till 31st December 2023.

The Writ Petitions are disposed of in above terms with no order as to costs.

It is clarified that this Court has not considered the merits and all the contentions of the parties are expressly kept open.
