The petitioner has filed this petition for a writ of mandamus against the respondent no.1 to decide as expeditiously as possible the unnumbered Appeal of 2021 filed on 29th October, 2021, Exhibit "F" to the petition. Learned counsel for the petitioner states that the said appeal has not been decided till date, though filed on 29th October, 2021. Statement is accepted.

We direct the respondent no.1 Appellate Authority to decide the said appeal within eight weeks from today after granting personal hearing to the petitioner. The petitioner is directed to remain 1/2

27-wp11968-22.doc present on 20th October, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. Learned AGP to communicate this order to the respondent no.1 for information and compliance. In case the date assigned by this Court is not convenient to the respondent no.1 due to unavoidable reasons, an early date be communicated to the petitioner for hearing. 3.

It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views on the merit of the appeal filed by the petitioner. All the contentions of all the parties are kept open. 4.

The writ petition is allowed in aforesaid terms. There shall be no order as to costs.
