CORAM : SMT. SADHANA S. JADHAV,J.
DATE : JUNE 27, 2018.
P. C. :
Report is received from the Sessions Judge, Thane informing that in the present case 12 witnesses are examined. The advocates representing the applicant have sought adjournments time and again and have chosen not to examine the witness. As per the request of the advocate for the applicant, the next scheduled date is 21/7/2018. It appears that the applicant had also filed Criminal Bail Application No. 521 of 2018 through jail. The same was rejected by this Court vide order dated 9/1/2017, wherein it was pointed that the applicant was also being prosecuted under the provisions of MCOCA. On one hand, advocate for the applicant had sought adjournment before the trial court and on the other hand, on the ground of delayed trial, the applicant has once again approached this Court seeking enlargement on bail. In view of this, the application deserves to be rejected.
