Prisoner Miraj on 2/6/2019 has sent a letter through prison for reducing his sentence on humanitarian ground. On 13/6/2019 Registry of this Court communicated to him that for want of sufficient information no action could be taken. Thereafter, he has sent another letter reiterating the request.

First letter shows that he has been sentenced in Sessions Case No.543/2016 for offences punishable under sections 342, 323, 506 and 306 of IPC.

Learned APP has produced nominal roll which confirms the case number and punishment. Punishment is of 7 years with fine of Rs.5,000/- and in default 6 months imprisonment. On the date 31/8/2019 he had completed 3 years 5 months and 11 days.

We therefore find the request unsustainable. Nominal roll is taken on record at Exhibit "A". Letters are disposed of. It is open to the prisoner to file appropriate challenge to the order of conviction. 5.
