In Crime No. 159 of 2018 for an offence punishable under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code the Applicant is seeking pre-arrest bail.

The Applicant - public personality i.e. Corporator in Municipal Corporation has been implicated in the aforesaid crime alleging that he had tried to outrage the modesty of complainant under the pretext of helping her in getting her father transferred from one department to another.

There are no criminal antecedents of similar nature against the Applicant. Ad-interim bail is granted to the Applicant by this Court on 11th September 2018.

The entire story narrated in the First Information Report contains contradictory statements and as such the same is not reposing any confidence. As such, ad-interim bail granted earlier by this Court is confirmed. In addition that - (A) In the event of arrest in Crime No. 159 of 2018 for an offence punishable under Section 354 of the Indian Penal Code the Applicant be released on executing PR Bond of Rs.15,000/- with one or more sureties in the like amount.

(B) The Applicant shall attend the Investigating Officer on 11th, 15th and 20th February 2019 between 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon and thereafter as and when directed.
