The above Writ Petition takes exception to the order dated 18­5­ 2015 passed by the Competent Authority exercising powers under Section 24 of the Maharashtra Rent Control Act 1999 (for short the said Act). By the said order, the application for setting aside the order passed on Exhibit 1, dated 29­ 1­2015 to proceed ex­parte against the Petitioner came to be rejected. The Petitioner can approach the Revisionary Authority established under Section 43 of the said Act for redressal of his grievance. Hence it is not necessary to entertain the above Petition. By relegating the Petitioner to the said remedy, the above Writ Petition is disposed of.

Needless to state that if any such application / proceeding is filed before the Revisionary Authority, the same would be considered by the Revisionary Authority on its own merits and in accordance with law. [R.M.SAVANT, J] mmj
