In any event, the interim order dated 02.08.2010 was challenged by the contesting Respondents before the Apex Court and SLP came to be disposed of by order dated 08.05.2013, which reads thus:

70 wp 10150-09=.doc "Looking into the facts of the case, we direct that status quo shall be maintained till the trial court finally decides the suit and also it will be ope to the parties to the litigation to make a request to the High Court for expeditious hearing of Writ Petition No. 10150 of 2009.

The order passed by the High Court with regard to the interim relief is quashed. The appeal is allowed in the aforesaid terms with no orders as to costs."

It appears that since the Apex Court has directed that the status quo be maintained till the decision of the suit, the Petitioners may not be interested in prosecuting the petition. 5.
