By this contempt petition, the petitioner has sought action against the respondents under the provisions of Contempt of Court Act for wilfully disobeying the order dated 18th November 2013 in Writ Petition No.689 of 2013. According to the petitioner, despite the order of this Court, the respondents have not de-reserved the post on which the petitioner was appointed and has also not

bsb 2 CP28.15.doc conferred the status of permanency on the petitioner. Mrs.Bhende, the learned A.G.P. appearing on behalf of the respondent No.6 - State of Maharashtra, states on instructions that the proposal for reservation on the post on which the petitioner was appointed is received by the State Government through the University and the post would be positively de-reserved within a period of two months. It is stated that, after seeking the remarks from the General Administration Department of the State Government, the remarks of the Law and Judiciary Department have to be secured. It is stated that the opinion of the Hon'ble Minister, Social Justice, has to be sought and then the proposal of the petitioner would be approved by the Hon'ble Chief Minister after receiving the same from the Hon'ble Minister for Higher and Technical Education Department. It is stated that, since the aforesaid formalities are required to be completed, time of two weeks would be required.

By accepting the statement made by the learned A.G.P. on behalf of the State Government, that would be binding on the respondents, we dispose of the contempt petition with no order as to costs.
