The Petitioner is seeking direction to the Respondent-Zilla Parishad to transfer the Petitioner from Dhamnand, Panchayat Samiti (Education Department), District- Khed, Ratnagiri to Zilla Parishad Sangali. Petitioner's request application is of 23 December 2016. The same has been rejected by order dated 25 June 2018 by giving reason that there are excess posts. Petition is filed in July 2018 and it is pending. Rejection on the ground of excess post therefore is of six years ago. In these many years substantial changes must have taken place. There is therefore, no purpose served in examining the merits of an order passed six years ago.

We permit the Petitioner to submit an application for transfer. If the application is made within a period of two weeks, Respondent No. 2 or the concerned Education Officer will take a necessary decision thereupon within a period of six weeks, subject to earlier time bound directions and pressing public duties 3.

Writ Petition is accordingly disposed of.
