We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner. 2.

The petitioner is assailing the punishment imposed upon him in the departmental inquiry.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the order of punishment has caused financial loss and the opportunity of further promotion to the petitioner has been affected. According to the learned counsel, the entire action right from the suspension on 30th July, 2004 till the order of revisional authority is in flagrant violation of the principles of natural justice, so also not in consonance with the procedure as established by law. The learned counsel submits that during the disciplinary proceedings, the proper opportunity was not granted.

We have considered the submissions.

The disciplinary proceedings were initiated against the

4-WP-2497-2022 petitioner long back. After the conclusion of the disciplinary proceedings, punishment had imposed upon the petitioner. Considering the allegations, the punishment does not appear to be disproportionate.

The procedure seems to have been adhered to. The principles of natural justice are not violated. Moreover, no explanation is coming forth for the long slumber of 14 years. The petitioner did not assail the order of punishment. The same is assailed after the petitioner has attained the age of superannuation, that too long back.

In light of above, no case is made out for interference. The writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
