The petition is filed seeking direction to respondent No.2 to register an offence against respondent Nos. 4 to 7 for various offences under the Indian Penal Code, 1860.

Mrs. Sonavane, learned APP having taken instructions from the officer concerned makes a statement on the basis of the petitioner's statement annexed at page 65, FIR is registered under Sections 341, 504 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. In these circumstances, the grievance of the petitioner stands redressed. Shubhada S Kadam 1/2

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that appropriate sections are not applied by the police while registering the FIR. We find that, in the statement referred above, the allegations are made only under Sections 341 and 504 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860. The crime is under investigation. The petitioner is always at liberty to give supplementary statement and, in the event, such statement reveals any other offence, the police can always take cognizance of the same. 5.
