1] It would be open for the petitioners to tender an appropriate application setting out their grievances to the Collector and if such application is presented, the Collector shall have to deal with the same in accordance with law. If the petitioners tender an application/representation to the Collector setting forth their grievances as has been raised in the instant petition within a period of six weeks from today, the Collector shall in observance of the procedure prescribed in that behalf may take appropriate steps or may issue appropriate directions in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of three

2] It is clarified that we have not scrutinized the contentions raised in the instance petition and as such it would be appropriate for the Collector to take a decision independently and in accordance with law.
3] Writ petition is accordingly, disposed of.
