The learned counsel for the petitioner/accused, who has filed the Application under section 482 of Cr. P.C., has submitted that respondent no. 2/complainant has dropped the proceedings and, therefore, nothing survives in these Petitions. He further submitted that an application to that effect seeking permission of learned Metropolitan Magistrate, 33rd Court at Ballard Pier in Complaint No. 2171/SS/2016 was made on 17th December, 2016 by the Advocate of the complainant and the said permission was given by the learned Metropolitan Magistrate.
