1] Heard Mr. Joshi learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.S.D. Rayrikar, learned AGP for the respondents. 2] The challenge in both these writ petitions is to the order dated 27th September 2017, by which, the Returning Officer has disallowed the petitioners to convert the nomination from S.T. category to reserved category (ST Women).

3] The election process is at quite an advanced stage, since the actual poll is scheduled on 7th October 2017. Mr. Rayrikar points out that even the allocation of symbols is complete. 1/2

The present petitions are, therefore, dismissed reserving liberty to the petitioners to take out appropriate proceedings before the appropriate authorities after conclusion of election process, if the grievances of the petitioners still survive.
