Having heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned APP for the State, we deem it convenient to dispose of this petition by directing the appellate authority viz. Divisional Commissioner, Pune, to dispose off the petitioners' appeal No.EA-150/2017 under Section 60 of the Maharashtra Police Act expeditiously and in any case, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of this order. Ordered accordingly. 2.

It is expressly made clear that we have not gone into the merits of the matter and all rights and contentions of the respective parties are kept expressly open to be agitated before the appellate authority. The appellate authority shall consider the petitioners' aforesaid appeal independently on its own merits. 3.

The writ petition stands disposed off.
