Heard the learned counsel appearing for the Petitioner and the learned AGP for the Respondents. 3.

Perused the Roznama of the proceedings.

From the manner in which the dates are fixed by the Collector for inquiry, it is obvious that the Collector is fully aware of the requirement of law to dispose of the application for disqualification within the time

After having perused the Roznama, we find that there were large number of applications made by the contesting Respondents which have been dealt with by the Collector. Even the Petitioner has made an application contending that an application for disqualification should be decided in a particular manner. The said application is pending for hearing.

Notwithstanding the time provided by the law, the Collector cannot ignore the applications made by the parties. He has to decide the same. It appears that even for the hearing of the applications, lengthy arguments have been made by the members of the bar. As stated earlier, from the Roznama, we are satisfied that the Collector is taking every possible efforts to dispose of the matter as expeditiously as possible. Hence, it is not necessary to issue a writ of mandamus at this stage. The Petition is disposed of accordingly.
