Mr. Patwardhan, learned counsel for the petitioner, having taken instructions from his client, seeks leave to withdraw the petition with liberty to make representation to the respondent No.2- Chief Officer, Vengurla Municipal Council in respect of the grievance made in the petition. Leave with liberty as prayed for, is granted. The writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn.

In the event, such representation is filed by the petitioner within a period of two weeks from today, the respondent No.2-Chief Officer, Vengurla Municipal Council shall decide the same independently on its own merits as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a Shubhada S Kadam 1/2

It is made clear that we have not gone into the merits of the matter and, all rights and contentions of the respective parties are kept expressly open.
