By this petition, under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, Petitioner is seeking direction against Respondent no.2 not to terminate the services of the Petitioner as Police Patil without following due process of law and without observing principal of natural justice.

The learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that Petitioner is working as Police Patil since last several years. He submits that initially the Petitioner was appointed as Police Patil by order dated 17.10.2000 for the period 17.10.2000 to 16.10.2005. He submits that thereafter recently, the Respondent no.2 issued the order dated Mohite 1/2
2 wp8992-17.odt 19.10.2020 appointing the Petitioner as Police Patil upto 30.04.2026 .

The learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that Respondent no.2 by his letter dated 02.08.2016 informed the Petitioner that if he failed to improve his behaviour with the villagers, they may take action against the Petitioner as per section 9 of the Maharashtra Village Police Act, 1967 without giving any notice.

The learned counsel for the Petitioner submits that in view of letter dated 02.08.2016, Petitioner fled the present Writ Petition with direction to the Respondent not to take action against the Petitioner without following due process of law.

We have heard both the sides.

It is to be noted that subsequently, Petitioner was appointed as Police Patil by order dated 19.10.2020 upto 30.04.2026. In view of these subsequent development, we do not fnd any reason to entertain the present Writ Petition.

Hence, Writ Petition stands dismissed.

No order as to costs.
