1) This is an application for modification of condition No.6(i) imposed upon the applicant while releasing him on bail by this Court, by its Order dated 1st September 2016. The said condition No.6(i) reads as under: "The applicant be released on bail in CR No.424 of 2015 dated 23/11/2015 registered with Antop Hill Police Station, on his furnishing PR bond of Rs.50,000/- with one or two local sureties in the like amount." 2) The learned counsel for the applicant submitted that though the applicant was directed to be released on bail on 1st September 2016, as the applicant could not comply with the aforesaid condition, he is still languishing in jail. He therefore prayed that the said condition may be suitably modified and applicant be permitted to furnish cash bail till he complies with the condition of furnishing sureties.
Dond 2/2 appp.871-2016.sxw 3) In view of the above and in view of the grounds mentioned in the application, the condition No.6(i) is hereby modified and the applicant is permitted to furnish one or more local sureties in the like amount. 4) The applicant is permitted to furnish cash bail for a period of four weeks from today and during the said period he shall comply with the necessary formalities of furnish sureties.
5) Rest of the conditions imposed upon the applicant by the aforesaid Order are not disturbed.
