Petitioner's claim to membership of Venu Apartment Co-operative Housing Society (Society) was declined by the society. Against that, petitioner preferred appeal before respondent No.3 i.e. Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Dadar (E), Mumbai. By order dated 13th May, 2016, respondent No.3 allowed the appeal of the petitioner and declared that he may be made a

member of the society. Against such order passed by respondent No.3 in appeal, the society i.e respondent No.2 has preferred a revision application before the Divisional Joint Registrar of Co-operative Societies i.e. respondent No.4 which has been registered as Revision Application No.352 of 2016. Alongwith the revision application respondent No. 2 also filed an application for interim relief. By order dated 30th March, 2017, respondent No.4 passed an order directing the parties to maintain status-quo till the next date of hearing. However, while this order of status-quo has been continued since then, the revision application has not been taken up and heard.

Aggrieved by the aforesaid, present writ petition has been filed.

After hearing learned counsel for the parties and on due consideration, court is of the view that it would be in the interest of justice if respondent No.4 is directed to finally decide the revision application within a specified period, revision application being of the year 2016. Accordingly, respondent No.4 is directed to decide

Revision Application No.352 of 2016 filed by respondent No.2 within a period of two months from the date of furnishing an authenticated copy of this order. The status-quo order passed by respondent No.4 shall continue for this limited period of two months. 5.

Writ petition is disposed of.
