The learned Advocate for the Applicant, on instructions, seeks leave to withdraw the Application. He however, submits that having regard to the period of incarceration, the trial court may be directed to expedite the trial. The Applicant is in custody since 9 th August, 2017.

Having regard to the period of incarceration, it would be expedient to request the trial court to make an endeavour to complete the trial as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of 8 months from today. 3.

The Applicant is at liberty to revive the prayer for bail if the trial is not completed within the aforesaid period.
