P. C. :

1.

Heard learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner and learned APP for the State. By this petition, the Petitioner is challenging the orders whereby he is externed from Thane District for the period of two years. We have perused the orders passed under section 56 as well as section 60 of the Maharashtra Police Act. The orders disclose that the Petitioner is involved in the commission of serious offences including an offence punishable under section 307 of IPC. In camera statements of certain persons are also recorded against him, which show that the Petitioner is in the habit to commit cognizable offence. The competent authority has recorded subjective satisfaction that witnesses are not willing to come forward to give evidence in public against the Petitioner by reason of apprehension on their part as patilsr 1 / 2

regards the safety of their person or property. 2.

Taking totality of facts and circumstances of the case into consideration, we are not inclined to entertain this writ petition and the same is accordingly dismissed.
