The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the only relief now sought by the petitioner is for a direction to expeditiously decide the pending tribe claim. The petitioner claims that he belongs to Koli Mahadev - Scheduled Tribe. The said claim is pending since the year 2016.

Considering the limited request as made, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the respondent no.2, Scrutiny Committee to

KVM 2/2 903 - WP 112378 OF 2018.doc decide the petitioner's tribe claim expeditiously and preferably within a period of three months from today. The claim be decided in accordance with law. Rule is made absolute in aforesaid terms with no order as to costs.

The interim protection granted to the petitioner during the pendency of the writ petition shall continue to operate till the claim is finally decided.
