The above Petition challenges the notice u/s 78 of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960. However, after issuance of the said notice and during the pendency of the above Petition, a Committee of Liquidators has been appointed by taking recourse to section 102 of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act.

In view of the said supervening event of the Committee of Liquidators being appointed, the above Petition, challenging the notice issued u/s 78, has turned infructuous and is accordingly disposed of as such.
