The sole grievance of the petitioner is that though as long as back on 12th May, 2016, his proposal was forwarded by the Chief Officer to the Commissioner & Director of Municipal Administration, Mumbai, it is not yet decided. 2.

In that view of the matter, we dispose of this petition by directing respondent No.2 - the Commissioner & Director of Municipal Administration, Mumbai to dispose of the petitioner's

Mhi WP-13289-17.doc proposal forwarded by the Chief Officer on 12.5.2016 (copy of which is annexed at Exhibit "F" at page 31 of the petition) as expeditiously as possible and preferably within three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

It is made clear that we have not gone into merits of the matter. All points and contentions are open. Respondent No.2 shall decide the said proposal independently, on its own merits and strictly in accordance with law.

In order to enable respondent No.2 - the Commissioner & Director of Municipal Administration, Mumbai to comply with this order, the petitioner shall remain present before respondent No.2 on 7.5.2018 along with a copy of the said proposal as well as a copy of this order.

Writ Petition stands disposed of.
