Heard the learned advocate appearing for the petitioner. Perused the petition and the annexures thereto. We do not think that the relief in terms of the prayers of the writ petition can be granted. That is entirely misconceived. The petitioner having earned a promotion, was paid the salary on the promotional post. Therefore, there was nothing that could be made available to the petitioner in terms of his tenure of 12 years in service.
