Heard learned counsel for the Applicants and learned counsel for the first Respondent. The prayer in this Application under section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 is for quashing the charge-sheet filed for the offence punishable under section 354 (A) as well as section 8 and 12 of Protection of Children from the Sexual Offence Act, 2012 read with 34 of the Indian Penal code. The victim is a minor. The mother of the victim has no authority to grant consent or to compromise on behalf of the minor. The allegations made against the Petitioners in the FIR constitute very serious offence affecting the society at large.

Hence, no case is made out to entertain this application on the basis of so called settlement. Accordingly, application is rejected. We make it clear that we have not made any adjudication on merits of the charge -sheet.
