The petitioner is one whose land is acquired for the purpose of allotting the same to the projected affected persons. The lands acquired are Gat Nos.242/2 admeasuring 2 H. 6 R.; 242/5 admeasuring 1 H. 9 R., and Gat No.241/7 admeasuring 10.9 R situated in village- Burasewadi, taluka- Khed, district- Pune. The said lands were acquired for Chaskaman Project way back in the year 1987. According to the petitioner, till date an alternate land has not been allotted by the respondents to the petitioner in spite of retaining 65% of the compensation amount with them.

In the above circumstances, we direct the respondent authorities to treat this writ petition as representation of the petitioner and dispose of the same in accordance with the procedure contemplated, within a period of two months from today. It is needless to state that the respondent authorities have to follow the directions, if any, given in similar matters being Writ Petition No.8385/2010 (Ram Shankar Deshmukh and others v. State of Maharashtra and others) and connected matters and a copy of such judgment would be part of the representation. 3.
