This is an application for condonation of delay in preferring appeal challenging judgment of conviction. The applicant has been convicted for offence punishable under Section 377 of IPC and Section 4, 6, 8, 10 & 12 the provisions of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. 2.

The maximum sentence imposed against the applicant is of 10 years. There is delay of 2 years and 20 days in preferring the appeal. The applicant is in custody for a period of about 6 years. For the reasons assigned in the application and in the interest of justice the delay is condoned.
