1) The learned counsel for the applicant, upon instructions seeks liberty to withdraw the application. Liberty as prayed for is granted in the interest of justice. Application stands dismissed as withdrawn. 2) Charge-sheet is filed against the accused under section 354 of the Indian Penal Code and under section 7 & 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. The maximum punishment contemplated would be 5 years. In view of this, the learned Special Court shall make every endeavour to conclude the recording of evidence in the present case i.e. in Special Case No. 215 of 2016 within 3 months from the date of framing of charge.
