By this application, the applicant seeks the following substantial prayer :

"(a) This Hon'le Court be pleased to direct the Ld. Special Court / Sessions Court (Court Room No. 10) at Dindoshi, to hear and decide the protest petition filed in B-Summary No. 06/B/2018, within a period of 1 month or as expeditiously as possible & within such period as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper, in the interest of justice."

Perused the papers. It appears that the applicant had lodged a complaint which was registered vide C.R. No. 41/2017 with the Powai Police Station on 28th March 2017 for the offence punishable under Section SQ Pathan 1/2

22-APL-1378-2021.doc 3(1)(v) and 3(1)(x) of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe (Prevention of Atrocities) Act.

It appears that after investigation, police filed a `B' Summary report before the concerned Court. It also appears that the applicant filed a Protest Petition before the said Court on 4th April 2019. It appears that because of the Covid and SOPs issued from time to time, the said petition could not be heard.

Be that as it may, since regular court hearings have commenced, the learned Special Judge/Sessions Judge, Dindoshi, to decide the Protest Petition filed in B Summary No.06/B/2018, as expeditiously as possible and in any event, within six months from the date of receipt of this order.

Application is disposed of accordingly.
