P.C:- The challenge herein is to the proceedings initiated under Section 12 of the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005 (D.V. Act). According to learned Advocate for the Petitioners, the parents-in-law of the Respondent-wife have to appear before the trial court. They are age old.

This petition is disposed of granting Petitioner Nos. 2 and 3 exemption from appearing before the trial court, except when the trial court would require their presence.
