It is submitted before this Court that the Petition was filed in this Court for seeking quashment of the first information report bearing Crime No. 191 of 2019 registered at Gowandi Police Station for the offences punishable under Sections 406, 419, 420, 465, 467, 468, 471 read with 120 B of IPC. It is further submitted in the praceipe that during pendency of the Petition the parties who are family members inter se decided to bury the hatchet and explore the possibility of amicably settlement through mediation. Accordingly, on such request, the Hon'ble the Apex Court permitted Umesh Malani

7.WP.4982.2019.doc the parties to explore the possibility of settlement and under the mentorship of learned Mediator - former Judge of this Court Hon'ble Shri Justice S.J. Vazifdar and the matter was resolved by accepting the terms of settlement mutually. The terms of settlement under caption "family settlement agreement dated 09.06.2021" were submitted before the Hon'ble the Apex Court at the time of consideration of Special Leave Petition (for anticipatory bail). It is then submitted that as the parties have decided the dispute amicably and grievance no more survives, as such, the Petitioner prayed for withdrawal of the Petition.
