1. Heard Mr. Kantawala, learned Advocate for Petitioner and Mr. Venegaonkar, learned Advocate for Respondents.

2. Perused the record of the case. In the present case Petitioner' s licence for selling liquor has been cancelled.

3. Be that as it may, under the provisions of Rule 122 of the Goa, Daman and Diu Excise Duty Act and Rules, 1964, Petitioner can approach the Competent Authority i.e. Respondent No.1 in the present case.

4. Mr. Venegaonkar fairly submits that the order dated 08.01.2020 passed in Writ Petition No. 11014 of 2019 by this Court would govern the facts of the present case. In that view of the matter, Petitioner is

16.WP.11011.19++.doc directed to file Application seeking renewal of licence before Respondent No.1 within a period of one week from today. If such an application is filed by the Petitioner, the same shall be disposed of within a period of two weeks thereafter by a speaking order after giving an opportunity of hearing to the Petitioner.

5. All contentions of the parties are expressly kept open.
