Our attention was invited to the order of this Court dated 17th October, 2018 in bunch of Petitions namely, Writ Petition No. 10464 of 2017 and other Petitions.

By recording the reasons in paragraphs 2 and 3, the Division bench of this Court was pleased to allow the Writ Petitions and Respondents were directed to delete the entries of reservation for project affected persons from the other rights column of the revenue records in respect of the subject lands within

four months from the date of order subject to necessary compliance by the State Government.

It is the grievance of the Petitioner that in spite of order of this Court the authorities failed to take appropriate steps within the stipulated period. On a grievance of failure being a willful default the Respondent authorities are guilty of committing willful contempt of the order of this Court, the Petitioner had filed present Petition.

Learned AGP, on instructions, submitted that post filing of the Petition the authorities have taken necessary steps immediately and necessary order was passed on 28.02.2020. Learned AGP placed on record copy of the order dated 28.02.2020. The same is taken on record and marked 'X' for identification. Learned AGP further submitted that though there is some delay in passing the order, the same is due to bona fide reasons namely, verification of records etc. It is also submitted by learned AGP that as the delay caused due to bona fide reasons the dealy be condoned.

Considering the fact that now the order of

this Court is duly complied with it can safely be said that the purpose of approaching this Court is now duly served. Learned AGP was also justified in submitting before this Court that though there is some delay, the delay caused was due to bona fide reasons. Accepting this statement, the delay caused in complying the order of this Court is condoned. As the grievance raised in the Petition on more survives, the Petition is disposed of.
