The petitioner's grievance is that a minor irrigation percolation tank is being constructed in the land bearing Gat No. 719 situate at village Hosur, Taluka Chandgad, District Kolhapur whereas it was to be constructed between Gat Nos.719 and 721 and that too without any authority or any prior permission from the competent authority. It is submitted that the construction of the subject percolation tank is not in the interest of the villagers. It

2/3 is further submitted that on the Lokshahi Din a complaint was made by Shantabai Ramchandra Pawar and 64 others dated 22/2/2016 addressed to Assistant Collector, Gadhinglaj Division, Gadhinglaj. The learned counsel submits that petitioner has not given any representation to any authority in respect of the subject grievance. It is further submitted that the construction of the percolation taken is not completed.

We have heard the learned counsel counsel for the parties, perused the record placed before us. This Public Interest Petition is filed in the year 2017.

In the facts of the case, we observe that copy of this Public Interest Petition be served on the respondent nos.13 and 14 i.e. Collector, Kolhapur and Chief Engineer, Minor Irrigation as representation by the petitioner within two weeks from today. After receipt of copy of this Public Interest Petition, we direct the concerned authorities to look into the grievance of the petitioner and communicate the decision to the petitioner as early as possible. 4.

It is clarified that we have not expressed any opinion in respect of the contentions and allegations made in the Public Interest Petition.
