In view of urgency, taken on production board. 2] Today when the matters came up for hearing, learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners may be permitted to submit representations before the competent authority of the respondents for extending the benefits of the Fifth Pay Commission with effect from its original date of implementation and also the benefits of the Sixth Pay Commission with effect from 1st January 2006 at par with Government employees and as per the 1/2

He also submits that the State Authority be directed to consider and decide the petitioners' representations as expeditiously as possible. 3] Keeping in view the aforesaid limited prayer, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioners claim, we dispose of the petitions with liberty to the petitioners to submit detailed representation with supporting documents before the competent authority of the respondents within two weeks. On receipt of such representations, the State Authority shall examine the same and in case the petitioners are found to be entitled for the reliefs claimed in the representations, the same be extended in their favour. The decision as aforesaid be taken within four months from the date of receipt of the petitioners representations.
