Heard. The application for furlough preferred by the petitioner was rejected vide order dated 27th September 2017 in accordance with Rule 4(6) and 4(b)(11) of Maharashtra Prisons (Mumbai Furlough and Parole) (Amendment) Rules, 2016 (`Rules of 2016' for short). Apparently the petitioner has preferred a fresh application on 11th October 2018 which is pursuant to deletion of bar under Section 4(b)(11) of the Rules of 2016.

In view of this, the authorities may consider the application dated 11th October 2018 afresh preferred by the petitioner in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and preferably within eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. Criminal Writ Petition No.12 of 2018 is disposed off. Copy of this order be forwarded to the petitioner in the jail where he has been detained.
