Heard learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner and learned APP for the State. By this writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, the Petitioner has assailed the order dated 8th August 2015 passed by the DCP Zone-VII, Mumbai under section 56 of the Maharashtra Police Act. 2.

The grievance of the Petitioner is that though the said order is assailed by filing an appeal before Respondent No. 2 - i.e., Divisional Commissioner, Kokan Division, Mumbai in the month of September 2015 and final hearing on the said appeal is concluded on 4th November 2015, no orders are passed as of today. Learned Counsel appearing for the Petitioner submitted that the Petitioner has been externed for six months only and that appeal will be rendered infructuous, if orders are not passed therein at the earliest.

In above circumstances, we deem it fit to dispose of the present writ petition by directing Respondent No. 2 Divisional Commissioner to dispose of the Petitioner's appeal being Externment Appeal No. 135 of 2015, as expeditiously as possible and at any rate within the period of two weeks from today. Ordered accordingly.
