The petitioners' grievance is that though the land was acquired for New Bombay township, they have not been allotted alternate place, plot/land in accordance with Government resolution dated 12th March 1996. The petitioners had represented their case to the authorities near about 30 years back and they are still waiting for a decision on their request.

Learned counsel appearing for respondent Nos.1 and 2, on instructions, submits that appropriate decision regarding allotment of plots in accordance with the scheme and facts would be taken by the Administration and communicated to the petitioners within six weeks from today. The statement made is accepted. 3.
