By this petition, petitioner is seeking a direction to respondent no. 4 to grant approval to the draft advertisement submitted by the petitioner on 17th March, 2015 for recruitment of Assistant Professors for 24 posts and Librarians for 2 posts for the society's five colleges affiliated to Mumbai University from the academic year 2015-16. Learned counsel for the University has submitted that the proposal submitted by the petitioner was as per old GR whereas the petitioner was required to submit the proposal as per new GR dated 24th
904-wp-11824.2015a.sxw August, 2015. He also submits that in that regard, petitioner has already been issued letter and if the petitioner complies with the said letter, the decision on the petitioner's prayer will be taken as expeditiously as possible.

Having considered the submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties and keeping in view the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the petitioner shall submit a fresh proposal in terms of the GR dated 24.8.2015 after getting NOC from the State Government, petition is disposed of with a liberty to the petitioner to comply with the fresh GR dated 24.8.2015 and on receipt of the fresh proposal from the petitioner approved by the State Government, the University of Mumbai shall consider the same and take appropriate decision as expeditiously as possible and in any case not later than four weeks from the date of receipt of the said proposal.
