Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned AGP for the State, we deem it appropriate to dispose of this petition by directing Respondent No.3 Dy. Collector (Resettlement), Pune and/or Respondent No.5 - the Resettlement Officer, Warasgaon, Pune to decide the petitioner's proposal dated 24.08.2015 for an alternative land as expeditiously as possible and in any case, within a period of 16 weeks from the date of receipt of this order. Ordered accordingly.

It is made clear that we have not gone into the merits of the matter and all rights and contentions of the respective parties are kept expressly open to be agitated before an appropriate authority. Respondent No.3 and/or 5 shall decide the petitioners' said proposal independently on its own merits.

The Writ Petition stands disposed of.
