Union Territory of India (Diu and Daman) ..Respondent Mr. Omkar Mulekar a/w Ms. Keral Mehta, for the Appellant. Mr. H. S. Venegavkar, for the Respondent No.1/UOI. Smt. M. M. Deshmukh, APP for the Respondent/State. CORAM : NITIN W. SAMBRE & R. N. LADDHA, JJ.
DATE : 13th JANUARY, 2023 P.C.
1.
Counsel the appellant has engaged counsel in the matter and bypassing the counsel, he has directly written a letter to the Registrar General of this Court. In our view, such mode adopted by the appellant/accused is not recognized or permissible in law. 2.
As such, no orders are required on the letter issued by the accused who is already on bail. The appeal as such stands disposed of.
3.
However, this will not preclude the accused/appellant to move appropriate application through his lawyer which will be considered in accordance with law.
