P.C:- This Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeks release of the gift items, writ watches and other items imported under the Bill of Entry Nos. 1006136 dated 5th June, 2018. It is the Petitioner's grievance that the Authorities are not finally assessing the above Bill of Entry even after it has waived its rights to receive a show cause notice. Thus, they seek an early adjudication on the above Bill of Entry.
Mr. Jetly, learned Counsel in support of the Revenue, on instructions, states that as the Petitioner have waived their rights to receive a show cause notice, the adjudication on the bill of entry dated 5th June, 2018 would be done within a period of four weeks from today. S.R.JOSHI
wp-11060-2019 Needless to state, the Petitioner would be given a personal hearing before passing a final order on the above Bill of Entry dated 5th June, 2018.
Thus, Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above directions.
