The above Civil Application has been filed for seeking enhancement in the maintenance granted to the daughter, Poornima which is Rs.10,000/- as per the order dated 11th January, 2017 passed in the earlier Civil Applcation No. 172 of 2015, to Rs.25,000/-. The same is

* 2/3 * sought to be justified on the touchstone of the statement of the expenses of the daughter which is annexed to the above Application as Exhibit-C, page-13. It is on consideration of the factual position that, a Division Bench of this Court, (Hon'ble R.M. Borde & Hon'ble A.S. Gadkar, JJ) by order dated 11th January, 2017, fixed the maintenance pendente-lite for the daughter at the rate of Rs.10,000/- per month. Prima-facie, there does not appear to be any change in the factual position as existing on 11th January, 2017 and today, save and except, the fact that, a period of one year having elapsed since the passing of the said order. However, we have taken note of the fact that the daughter, Poornima is studying in Lakshadham Public School, which is an ICSE School in Mumbai.

The education in such a School would have its own expenses. The child has also grown one year older. We, therefore, deem it appropriate to increase the maintenance of Rs.10,000/- per month to Rs.12,500/- per month from 1st March, 2018.
