This is an application for anticipatory bail. The applicant is an advocate. She is charged for offence under sections 353, 332, 141, 147, 149 of Indian Penal Code and under Sections 7 of Criminal Law Amendment r/w Section 119/177 of Motor Vehicles Act read with Sections 135, 37(1)(3) of Bombay Police Act. The applicant has preferred an application before the Sessions Court which was heard on 3rd October 2018 and the same has been adjourned to 12th October 2018. It is submitted that there is no interim protection and the applicant being a lawyer apprehends arrest. Learned APP submitted that the application of the applicant is pending before the Sessions Court and this Court at the most may direct the Sessions Court to prepone the hearing.

In the circumstances, since there is no interim protection granted in favour of applicant by the Sessions Court, the Sessions Court is directed to hear the matter on Monday, 8th October 2010.

It is made clear that this Court has not dealt with the contentions of applicant on merits the learned Sessions Court shall decide the application on merits and in accordance with law. (PRAKASH D.
