Heard rival submissions on the application for condonation of delay of 24 days in preferring the appeal along with application for leave challenging the acquittal of the respondent in the matter of offence punishable under Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act.

For the reasons mentioned in the application, the delay is condoned. The application is allowed. So far as hearing on the application for leave to file appeal is concerned, the learned Counsel for the respondent prayed for time.
