Learned APP submitted that, Director General of Police, Maharashtra State, has filed Affidavit dated 21st March 2023 affirming that, proposal submitted by investigating agency was reconsidered and now said Competent Authority has granted sanction for prosecution in respect of Assistant Police Inspector Mr.Vijay Bhagwansing Chavan and Police Constable Vishwajit Manohar Chavan.
Learned APP on instructions from the Investigating Officer, MANISH SURESH THATTE by MANISH SURESH THATTE Date: 2023.04.03 09:36:48 +0530 ACB, Mumbai Unit, submitted that, sanction was accorded by Director General of Police, Maharashtra State, on 9th March 2023.
2 of 2 21.WP.4395.2017.doc She also drew our attention to the Order dated 20th March 2023 passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Special Leave Petition (Criminal) Diary No(s).No.9456 of 2023 wherein the Orders dated 12th January 2023, 23rd January 2023, 31st January 2023 and 1st March 2023 passed earlier in this proceeding, have been stayed. 2.
In view of the fact that, the Competent Authority has accorded sanction on 9th March 2023, learned Advocate for Petitioner submitted that, nothing further survives in the petition and it may be disposed off.

Petition is accordingly disposed off.
